Friday- drag myself to work day

So, I am tired... We went to bed late.... Dusty works all weekend:( ... At least it's days. Bells is curled up under the covers and cried when dusty left this am. It's hard to lock her up on days like this... I need coffee.

Thursday's thoughts

Today I woke up forgetting I had accepted a half day job! I woke up extra tired, but I got ready and fifteen minutes before I left I double checked. I had four more hours before I needed to be there! Yeah! I slept for two more hours, and enjoyed a morning with my Hubbie. I am now at work watching the history channel- modern marvels. It's about engineering disasters. I have some glimmer of hope for a job since i reconnected with someone that works at one of our local banks. Maybe, just maybe this could be my in.... I will keep you informed. It would def be a change in pace, something I would need to get used to... But a good thing. We will see.. My sunburn is slowly going away, and no peeling!!! Yeah! I have tan lines!! I am going to try and get some more sun this weekend... Anyway gots to go

Sunday part two

We had a good time at church, then we went to cvs and then ate lunch. Then we went to the beach!!! Twas wonderful.. Parked our chairs right by the waters edge. Am I regretting not bringing sun screen? Kinda lol, why did my husband listen to me when I said no to sunscreen? I told him next time don't listen to me :).. The water was a bit chilly, but I still got in and after awhile it felt good. Now we are doing laundry and chillin before grilling tonight! It is definitely spring folks!!

Sunday

We are so tired... Staying late at the in laws last night... Never a short trip lol! We are volunteering this morning, making the coffee and serving it for the first service. Yawn, I better go and get prettified ....

Catching up and all that

So, long time no blog. Many things to catch up on, this has been spring break for starters. First, I recently applied for several jobs and over the course of the last few days I have been getting rejection letters.... Secondly, I went to the beach with friends and got pooped on my head by a seagull!! Yeah, actually pretty funny after I stopped saying Ewww, Ewwww, Ewwww! Thirdly, I got a slight sunburn even though it was cloudy, windy, and slightly cold. :) that was a plus because trying to build up a base for the cruise, but sad that I was so pale I was the only one that got sun lol! Went to a baby shower last night, we had fun. It is very nice to have friends to put on a baby shower for you. Not everyone has that. This morning I got treated to bagel heads for breakfast, we ended up talking about our possibilities in the near future. There is rumor that 16 people could get promoted in the next six months at the sheriffs office. Well, dusty sits in the #10 spot. So, good chance he could get promoted. But if he gets a chance to be a federal Marshall, well let's just say there are plenty of possibilities. We just need to continue praying and I believe God will show us the path we should take. As far as kids, I am more open to them, but i think we are at least a year away from trying. We don't need everything figured out, but this year could bring changes, big ones... It leaves me excited, and it's hard to be patient, but life goes on one day at a time. Just like wanting to figure out where i am working during the summer is on my mind, but can't worry about that yet...

Spring break Randomness

So glad I am not subbing this week! This is a weekend the hubby works so it's off to a slow start. Bells got groomed on Friday and is still giving the groomer trouble. Most dogs like getting groomed, they feel pampered and know they look good. Does my Bella care? Ha no way! Little miss thang has already rolled in our backyard! Oh well, we are still working with her so she doesn't cause issues at the groomer. I realized yesterday that I needed to start getting some sun. The cruise is less than two months away! I would like to go to the beach today....

Wednesday Wednesday

I didn't work today, last night I was exhausted and the only jobs available were at a school I despise. I slept in and woke up to a slightly cranky husband. Now mind you this is rare and I am usually the cranky one! Basically had a headache he couldn't shake... :( no fun. I suggested going for a picnic to get out of the house and he turned that down flat. I started getting annoyed, but quickly remembered the times he is patient with me when I am cranky... Plus, on Sunday the pastor has been talking about emotional maturity and not reacting to things quickly. (much more in depth than that but not doing a sermon here lol) anyway, he basically chilled doing a game while I did this and that. I scanned some recipes that I have been meaning to do. I also tried one for fun! Fried tortilla strips with sugar and cinnamon= yumminess! I had leftover tortillas ( the ones you have to heat before eating) and cut them up in small bites and fried them and put sugar and cinn on them. Easy and good! Husband and Bella approved lol! Overall good day and I vacuumed and mopped the floor! Go me :) I also applied for three more jobs which makes that 7 applications out there that I recently applied for... God please please give me something I would enjoy doing that has decent pay!!! Amen

Tuesday

No fancy title, just Tuesday. I am a ese elementary teacher today. Pretty easy:) Dusty took his sergeants test today at the civic center. Apparently it is a big deal and he has been studying for weeks. This will be fun to see if he gets the promotion, it depends highly on his score. I am feeling much much better. Still runny nose and the occasional cough, but not too bad. Really hope Dusty doesn't get it! It is so easy to pass germs back and forth!! ;) he he .. Had a game night with some friends and trying to coordinate another one before one of them has to go back where she lives. That's all for now on my life updates lol

Cleaning

So, right before I got sick I was focused on tackling the cleanliness of our home. My friend recently started this program where you map out cleaning chores throughout your week and then your not stuck cleaning forever on the weekend! I mapped out the past week and even being sick, together we completed a good portion of it. Now that this is a new week I expect better results. It is a constant job and it's hard to imagine once kids get in the picture!

Monday again, boy was it a fun weekend.

So, I have been sick! SICK...like really sick. I had a high fever for two days and finally my fever broke late Friday night. I went to our free clinic (yeah for county employees) on Sat morning and sure enough they said my fever was gone and that I should be taking antibiotics. The doctor was very quick and efficient and had a good sense of humor. I think I am getting better at going to the doctor without a fuss, which is a good thing. I was prescribed the "z-pack", because apparently it gives women a better chance of NOT getting a yeast infection. I like the sound of that =), but the doc said to eat yogurt anyway. Thankfully, it was not a stomach bug this time. Since my fever broke, my sinuses have been awful.. Hubbie put me on bed rest or house arrest lol for the weekend. Today I took off as a good measure as well. I am feeling better, but still not the best.
   Besides being sick dusty got to apply for a job with the U.S. marshals.  (spell?) brain is foggy yet. Please pray for him during the application process, he would really like a job with them and it would be a really good career move. May the Lord lead us and guide us where we need to be...
   I went to a planning meeting and will be helping organize a thank you party for the volunteers at our church we currently attend. It sounds fun, and will be at New World Landing.
   Roughly two months until our cruise is here!!! So, excited. I kind of wish our old friend group could get together and do a cruise. Wouldn't that be fun? You could plan a year in advance and pay it off as you go... Of course some would have farther to travel than others... sigh it would be fun.
   Since, I was sick no couponing for me this weekend, but dusty did make a trip yesterday and got 120 dollars worth at publix for 11 dollars! Included were some frozen dinners (like lasagna) because  me being sick I have not been cooking.  anyhoo... toodles for now folks!

as you can see the last three posts are out of order. I typed up the two at school and it didnt load, so when i typed up the latest one it got posted before the other two... whatev.. lol no biggie.

Monday and referrals

So, I am sitting here on a break having just finished writing three referrals and will be doing another one for last Friday. Boo. I don't like them and I don't typically write them. The teachers wanted me to write the incidents up, so if they felt it was needed it was needed. Once, I get my head in a better place I will write more about my weekend adventures.

Couponing

So, I got some really good deals on tazo tea on Sunday! I really love passion tazo tea and it hit me the other day buying the tea in store would be a good investment, than occasionally buying from Starbucks. I had a 2 off 2 target coupon and a dollar off 1 manufacture. At target that made it 1.50 a box. Not bad, but we also had a 5 off 30 coupon for publix and some vitamins as a filler item. In the end got tea for .50 a box! Yeah! Overall, we spent 30 dollars yesterday and got about 300 dollars worth of stuff! Wow! Strawberries, soup, breadcrumbs with cheese, cream cheese, toothpaste, dinner mixes, rice, downy unstoppables, breakfast bars, and protein bars. I don't like doing this every week, but it will be nice this month not to go shopping that much except at SAMs for meat, veggies, and fruit. Anyways, enough about that.

Sick overnight

So, yesterday I started a three day school job. I woke up with a slight sore throat, but by the time I got to school it sounded like I had a frog in my throat. I had a hard time raising my voice, but thankfully I know these students and all I had to do was write sit down and be quiet. When I got home dusty went and bought me day/night quill. Went to bed around 8:30, woke up at 2:30 felt like I had a fever! I checked and used my thermometer under the arm. I couldn't remember if I was supposed to add or subtract? I looked at the screen and it said 100.8, so I thought I had to subtract. Which resulted in a low grade fever, but I looked it up and you add 1!!! So yes overnight I got sick.. Problem I was supposed to work in the am, so took med ate some crackers and drank ginger ale and went to sleep. I went to work and immediately informed them that I was sick and could work today, but not on Friday. I knew today would be easy, so I stayed. Thank you medicine!! I am now home and my Hubbie just brought me more meds and dinner. Side note cough syrup is nasty!!
