Thursday

This is typically my Friday, but not this week...:( this week is almost over, just remember that m! I have so much going on, but nothing final..

On other thoughts, what should I pack for lunch? Hmmm, no clue! I think I am hungry right now, which would explain my weird queasy feeling.. I hope my friend has dress pants that fit me, because the pair I am wearing to work are huge on me and bug me, it doesn't make you feel good. This is all rambled thoughts but who cares:)

Lord help me

Once a month us girls get visited.... It messes with your brain, emotions, and body on many levels. If you haven't guessed, it's here..... Makes you uninspired, and achy, and cranky ( even though you know you shouldn't be), just not feeling good. Lord please help me today!

Rain and munchies

Well to say its been raining is an understatement. Bella has no fear of thunder, rain, lightning, except when it comes to using the bathroom... She heads to the back door, we open the door and she immediately backs up and is like why is it raining out there? Or, she will look at us and be like " you must be joking, I am not going out in that even if my bladder explodes." Sigh, she knows she shouldn't pee inside, but sooner or later things can't be held in for days. Thankfully this morning it cleared up enough, for her to go.
My period is about to start and I got the munchies... Didn't eat that much, but I did go over my daily points, mostly due to me eating my leftover Reuben at lunch, that was very yummy. Today I will def be eating low point food, and lots to keep me from munching. I am not weighing myself this week, until Friday. I am going to try doing this, I was so nervous in the beginning, starting a new program that I weighed myself about every day. WW does not encourage this, I think losing 17 pounds is enough proof that this will work. Patience is probably the real reason that its hard to wait. If I have lost I want to know right away! I will try this and see how I do. I also know that avoiding the scale is how I got to be where I am at, but once a week is not avoiding its healthy.
Not as stressed as I have been, but we still have things in the works.. We are praying about our future and if you pray please pray for us. Thank you

TGIF

Officially 17.2 down! Happy dance!! I wish I was sleeping right now.... Boo! I slept, but when our child woke us up at 5:15 I didn't sleep much after that. I am working today due to my coworker being on vacation. I will be very happy when she comes back on Monday! Her job is majorly stressful, I would not like it. One goo thing it's jeans day at work! :) no more baggy dress pants that I need to get rid of!! I have been lunch challenged this week due to not going to store... Def getting groceries this weekend! Strawberries are .99 a pound at food world 2 per person! Yummo, I need some good lunch meal ideas?? Anyone one have suggestions?

Friends

I am very proud and happy that my friends, inspire me and in turn I hope to inspire them:) I was inspired by a good friend that has worked hard and achieved something she may never have thought she could do! But she lost weight and is healthy! Big inspiration for me to know that losing weight is achievable and will happen if I continue what I am doing. In turn after I joined 4 of my friends also joined! Way to go! I am already seeing good things come to pass and I believe they can stick with it:) I am very happy to say I lost 16.5 pounds so far:) my first real long term goal is to get under 200 pounds. As of this morning I have 21.8 to reach the awful 200. But in reality glorious because that will mean I will have lost 38pounds .... Which is cause for celebration! So, that's my big goal for now:) I still struggle with activity points, but some weeks are better than others.

Valentines was nice:) my hubby got me weight watcher candies that are very yummy! And 1 point! They are nice for when you want a taste of chocolate and nothing else will do! He is getting it, lol he is so good to me. I am not afraid to tell him how I feel and that is wonderful. I am wasting time, my precious get ready time so gots to go folks!!

Thankful

Finally, back down again and I am officially 16.5 down! Yeah! So excited, due to birthday, stress, and valentines day I have been 1.5 up for a while. Thankfully I am past that and back in track.

Valentines day

I had a hard time deciding on what to do this year. Hubby and I really want to go on a vacation. My coworker had choc covered strawberries delivered today, which gave me the idea to make some for my valentine! Pretty easy and cheap compared to ordering them from edible arrangements. We decided to eat out tonight, and it was very nice.
Not very talkative tonight, but a lot on the mind. We replaced the carpet in our bedrooms with laminate floor and our bedroom is almost finished with the decorations. 2 1/2 years and we finally got it together! Here are pics

Update

So on my birthday, which was sat I ended up eating around 70 points! Did not plan on that, but it happened. Bad idea !! Took till today to see the scale go down. Well it went up 1.6 so it's been going down, but I am not counting that. So officially 15.4 lost. I am still very thankful for this opportunity to lose weight.

Brrrr

It's 50 or under depending on which weather app you look at... It's cold! Trying to stay warm with head under the covers... Does this help me get out of bed? No! Sat was my 27th birthday! It was a very nice day, wouldn't change a thing. Husband surprised me early ( his boss let him go in late) and took me out to breakfast at bagel heads! It was just nice:) went straight from breakfast to a ladies group that I orchestrated. The lady that is hosting it lives in a little slice of heaven.. Set back from the road, personal lake, ducks, snapping turtles, hammock, swimming deck, and the weather was gorgeous! Since I did not have anything to do I stayed later, then stopped by the rents. I got home around 3 and layers down for a bit. Then went out to eat with some ladies and had a nice time. :)

Sunday I made muffins for my mom with a caramel cake mix, 1 cup of coffee, a capful of vanilla, and 1 can of pumpkin. I experimented making it into a cookie, that you could make a whoopie pie. Turned out! Then I experimented and made chicken enchiladas, 8 pnts for 1. I also made guac with young peas and avacado! 2 pnts for 1/3cup! Pretty good actually! I did not have all the ingred that hungry girl used, but I used what I had, not bad!

Chicken and Turkey Sausage Gumbo

1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
3/4 pound skinless, boneless chicken cut into chunks
3/4 pound sweet or hot Italian style turkey sausages, cut into chunks
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
2 cups reduced sodium chicken broth or basic chicken stock
1 (14 1/2) can fire roasted diced tomatoes
3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 Tablespoon cold water
1 ( 10-ounce ) package frozen sliced okra
1 cup frozen corn kernels

1. Combine onion, bell pepper, and celery in crockpot. Place chicken and sausage on top of veggies. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Top with broth and tomatoes with their juice. Cover and cook until meat is fork tender, 4-5 hours on high or 8-10 hrs on low.
2. About 45 min before done, whisk together flour and water in small bowl until smooth. Whisk 1/4 cup of hot gumbo liquid. Stir back into crockpot. Stir in okra and corn. Cook for 45 min.


This recipe is from WW cookbook. 6 servings- 1 1/2 cup = 7pnts

I missed the fact that it was a crockpot, so I used a stockpot and it cooked much faster. Plus I made my own chicken broth with 1 bouillon cube to 2 cups of water and partially cooking chicken in a pot. I chose the sausage that I did because it looked good. My mom is making it with turkey sausage in casings. I also made rice and served it under the gumbo. This was very very good!
