Weight update

I have lost 32.8 pounds! I am starting to see the numbers go down again. This week I am getting scuba certified down to 60 feet! I was so nervous about being too heavy or not having a big enough wetsuit... Thankfully my concerns are not concerns anymore. Obviously it's wise to be fit and healthy for this activity, since your life depends on it. But I passed all the fitness swim tests and we started skills last night in the pool. I thought mask clearing would be tough, but in reality it was not bad. Basically you have to demonstrate that you can take your mask completely off and clear it underwater. Tonight we will spend most of our time in the deep end of 12 feet. I will admit when we first went underwater with our regulator and mask, it was really weird. Lots of bubbles and noise. Then the instructor said masks off so we wouldn't be tempted to breathe through our nose underwater. That was freaking me out. On our knees with all our gear in 4 feet of water masks off eyes shut tight. You could not see, it was scary to the point I was thinking in my head I can't do this. But then our instructor made a sound and we came up and went and practiced skills for the rest of the night. By the end I was feeling much much better. Tonight we will work on equalizing our ears and buoyancy and who knows what else!
